Description About the role: Cater Care is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to support daily food service operations at an aged care facility in Byron Bay . This role focuses on assisting with meal service while helping create a positive, welcoming dining experience for residents. Roster: Monday, Thursday & Friday: 2:30pm - 7:00pm Tuesday & Wednesday: 7:00pm - 1:30pm What this role involves: Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties Skills And Experiences The ideal candidate will have: Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service Work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential) Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices Perks & benefits: Competitive salary Uniform provided Staff benefits and retail discounts (450 stores nationwide!)
